TN govt announces commission for enquiry

Chennai, Feb 3 (UNI) Tamil Nadu government has announced constitution of a one man commission to enquire into the circumstances behind the death of a girl student in the Fathima Girls Higher Secondary School at Omallur in Salem district.

An official statement issued yesterday said that retired High Court Judge K Samythurai would conduct the enquiry and submit the report to the government.

It may be recalled that the girl - Sukanya's body was found in a well, which led to the violent incidents with general public ransacking school premises and destroying computers and other properties.
