Speedy trial for Papiya murder case

Patna, Feb 3 (UNI) A local lower court here today handed over the much hyped Papiya murder case to the court of Sessions for its speedy trial.

The First Class Judicial Magistrate of Patna passed the order in the case after supplying the copies of police papers to all the five chargesheeted accused, who were produced before the court today.

Patna police had submitted chargesheets in the case on December 27 last year.

According to the charges Papiya Ghosh, a professor of history department in Patna university and her maid servant were murdered during a dacoity at Patliputra colony in Patna on the night of December 2 last.
