SAD to work for constitution of Punjab Legislative Council

Jalanhdar, Feb 3 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal(Badal) today promised that if SAD-BJP combine voted to power in Punjab after assembly election its government would make efforts for the constitution of state legislative council.

The manifesto released by the party for the February 13 assembly polls said the party believed that re-constitution of the legislative council in the state would strengthen the democratic set up and would pave the way for proper representation to otherwise unrepresented walks of life.

The party said that it would make all possible efforts to achieve the task.
