Rs 62.20 cr plan approved for Kupwara, in JK

Srinagar, Feb 3: Agriculture receives the major share in the Rs 62.20 crore Credit Action Plan (CAP) approved by the Jammu and Kashmir Government for next fiscal year for Kupwara district.

An official spokesman today said the decision to this effect was taken at District level Consultative Committee meeting held with District Development Commissioner, Kupwara in chair.

The meeting was informed that under Agriculture sector Rs 28.85 crore, under Industries sector Rs 14.21 crore besides Rs 19.14 crore have been earmarked for Services sector in the plan.

Briefing previous achievements it was informed that 1688 income generating units were established with financial assistance of Rs 24.32 crore ending December.

Under Agriculture and allied sectors, loan to the tune of Rs 11.50 crore was extended for setting up of 831 units. Likewise, under Services sector, 756 units were setup with financial assistance of Rs 12.11 crore. Under Industries sector 81 income generating units were established for which loan of Rs 69 lakh crore was extended.
