Renewable Engery Park to come up in Gurgaon

Chandigarh, Feb 3 (UNI) The Haryana government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 77.33 lakh for Rajiv Gandhi Renewable Engery Park being set up in Gurgaon.

The park would be ready by July 31 this year, Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said today.

The Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Sources (MNRE) had sanctioned a state level energy park for Haryana to be set up at a cost of Rs 1.50 crore. Haryana Urban Development Authority, Gurgaon had allotted 1.6 acres of land for this purpose, he said.

Mr Chander Mohan said the energy park was constructed with an objective to create awareness among the masses about the new technologies developed in the area of renewable energy besides apprising the people about the conservation of energy and their socio-environmental benefits.

He said MNRE had provided a financial assistance of Rs 72.67 lakh for the procurement of devices and the cost incurred in the incorporation of solar passive concepts in the buildings of the parks.

The park would have a technology area besides special pavilion for the students which would have various attractive games working models and quizs.
