Reformed Maoist shot dead

Visakhapatnam, Feb 3 (UNI) Members of CPI (Maoist) Party allegedly killed a reformed Maoist, branding him as an informer, at Kukumpudi village in the G K Veedhi mandal in this district last night, the police said today.

According to rural police sources G Venkat Rao (30) had surrendered to the police last year. The police had rehabilitated him.

The Maoists forcibly took Rao and two others to Kukumpudi village where Rao was shot dead. However, the other two were released after questioning.
