Procurement price of milk hiked

Puducherry, Feb 3 (UNI) In order to ensure the welfare of milk producers in the union territory of Puducherry, the administration has enhanced the procurement price by Re.one from today.

According to a press release from the office of the Chief Minister, hitherto the procurement price per litre was Rs.10.17.

The price would be increased to Rs.11.17 per litre.

There will be no change in the selling price of milk in the wake of the enhancement in the procurement price, the release added.
