One more soldier commits suicide in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 3: One more soldier ended his life, giving a blow to the measures like 'yoga and art of living', introduced by the authorities to help the security personnel in strife-torn Jammu and Kashmir in fighting stress.

The jawan took this extreme step yesterday.

An official spokesman said the deceased R Udai Suryan, hailing from Tamil Nadu, was working as Defence Security Corps (DSC) with Air Force Sation, here.

However, the reason behind his suicide is not unknown.

A case has been registered and investigations started, the spokesman added.

More than 20 security personnel, including some officers, have committed suicide in the state during past one year.
