Metal prices ease on poor demand
Mumbai, Feb 3 (UNI) Metal prices eased on poor demand today, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
In the ferrous category, copper heavy and brass cutting slashed by Rs 400 each per quintal and Brass utencil also eased by Rs 100 beause of sluggish demand.
In the non-ferrous section, zinc slab and copper wire bars eased by Rs 1000 and 500 each per quintal. Aluminium Ingot went up by Rs 100 per quintal on better buying support.
Tin slab also declined by Rs five on thin buying support.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 30,100, Copper utensils - Rs 29,000, Brass tensils - Rs 22,900, Brass cuttings - Rs 24,100 and Aluminium tensils - Rs 11,400.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 33,300, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,400, Zinc slab Rs 18,000, Lead ingots - Rs 7,500, Tin slab - Rs 610 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,880 (per kg).
