Major adminitrative reshuffle in UP

Lucknow, Feb 2 (UNI) In a major administrative reshuffle here tonight the Uttar Pradesh government ordered transfer of 16 officials including the Commissioner of Faizabad.

According to sources in the administration, Faizabad Commissioner Manoj Kumar will take over as the Secretary of the State Human Rights Commission while R P Shukla, currently Vice-Chairman of the Varanasi Development Authority and Administrator of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, replaces him.

Meanwhile Backward Class Welfare Department Secretary Jitendra Kumar takes over as the new Commissioner of Gorakhpur.

Ms Anita C Meshram, who was Deputy Commissioner Trade Tax at Noida, takes over as the new District Magistrate of Pillibhit whereas Social Welfare Departrment Director D C Shukla takes over as the new District Magistrate of Mirzapur.

Mr Sachianand Dubey, who was the Special Secretary Agricultural Produce Commission, takes over as the new DM of Balrampur.

Principal Secretary tax department K Chandramouli moves to the social welfare department in similar capacity whereas DC Lakha, who was presently the Principal Secreatry, Housing and Urban Planning, takes over as the Principal Secretary Industrial Production.

Principal Secretary Civil Supply, Food Processing and Horticulture Jayanti Chandra will move to the Cultural Affairs Department in similar capacity whereas, Principal Secretary Finance Shekhar Agrawal has been given additional charge of trade tax department. Mr V Rajagopalan, currently Additional Resident Commissioner Uttar Pradesh at New Delhi will take over as the Principal Secretary programme implementation department.

Principal Secretary Textiles Ravindra Singh will take over the position vacated by Ms Chandra whereas Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation Managing Director Shankar Agrawal has been appointed as the state's trade tax commissioner swapping posts wid current incumbent Rajneesh Gupta.

Secretary Planning Department Sunil Kumar moves to the Backward Classes Welfare Department in similar capacity whereas Lucknow Development Authority Vice Chairman B K Singh has ben additional charge of the department of Housing and Urban planning.
