Patna, Feb 3 (UNI) JD(U) today urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take disciplinary action against Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh for disregarding constitutional decorum by participating in an agitational programme launched against the state government.

National spokesman of the JD(U) Shivanand Tiwari said here that Mr Singh went against the government by leading an agitational programme in Bihar. Such behaviour on the part of a Union minister is not acceptable in a democratic country particularly when the party at the Centre is not the same as that in the state.

Mr Tiwari said that instead of launching an agitation, Mr Singh should have taken initiative to build up pressure on the Centre for clearnce of various developmental projects of the state which were still awaiting approval of the Central government.

''The concern raised by Mr Singh over the shifting of Buddhist relics from the Patna museum to Vaishali was nothing but a political gimmick as he continued to remain in deep slumber on the matter when RJD was at the helm of affairs in Bihar'' he added.

''The agitational programme of Mr Singh proved to be a big 'flop', as the commonman did not take notice of such gimmicks of a Union minister'', he claimed.
