Bangalore, Feb 3 (UNI) The city-based Indus International School is opening its second school in Pune.

The 52-acre campus, overlooking Manas lake, would be the only school to offer students water sports facility in the country, the School said in a release here today.

Indus housed four academic blocks, a large integrated sports complex, a state-of-the-art resource centre, modern labs, two libraries and a wi-fi campus.

The release said students enrolling in the school would be provided International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, universally adopted by 1,900 schools across 124 countries. The school proposed to start its first academic session in August, 2007.

Announcing the launch of the school, Indus Trust CEO Lt Gen Arjun Ray said ''Indus International School equips students to face these challenges by educating them through a curriculum, which is a healthy mix of academics, creativity and character - a curriculum based on multiple intelligences. Such an approach nurtures the specific talent of the student and in the process, learning becomes fun.'' UNI
