Counterfeit notes seized from Mysore lodge

Mysore, Feb 3: The city police have seized fake currency notes worth rupees eight lakh from a city lodge on Thursday night.

City Police Commissioner Praveen Sood said that acting on a tip-off, a police team raided a room in the lodge and found the counterfeit notes in sealed covers in an airbag. However, the person who stayed in the room from Bangalore, was not found.

Fingerprint samples taken from the room were sent to the Forensic Science laboratory for testing, he added.
