Chandigarh, Feb 3 (UNI) Continuing his campaign trail in Punjab, former Haryana Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala today alleged that the people of the state were fed-up of the ruling Congress and had made up their mind to vote it out of power.

''The people of Punjab can not forget the misrule rule by the Congress government during the last five years and they have made up their minds to throw it out,'' Mr Chautala said while addressing rallies in favour of Shiromani Akali Dal candidates in Pakkakalan and Joga assembly constituencies.

He said the Congress was in for a severe shock in Punjab assembly elections as its dream of coming to power in the state again would not be fulfilled.

Launching a scathing attack on Congress, he said the party was responsible for the prevalent poverty, corruption and unemployment.

He also accused the Congress of dividing the people on caste, creed and regional lines to procure the votes and rule the country.
