Army JCO dies of heart attack

Jammu, Feb 3 (UNI) A Junior Commissioned Officer of Army's Remount and Veterinary Corps (RVC) today died due to a massive cardiac arrest at Jewel Chowk in the city today, official sources said.

Subedar Mrityunjay Vastrad of Dharwar (Karnataka), who had come from RVC Centre and School, Meerut, and was proceeding towards 28 Army Dog Unit located here in IX Corps, fell unconscious this morning, sources said.

Assisted by the passers-by, he was immediately shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. However, doctors pronounced him ''brought dead''.
