2 killed, 7 hurt in mishap

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Feb 3 (UNI) A woman and a child were killed and seven injured when the mini-van in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Chepakkam near Vempur here in the wee hours of today.

Police said Prema (45) and Mahesh Peter (7) were killed when the mini-van proceeding to Tiruchirapalli from Chennai hit the lorry proceeding to Chennai from Tiruchirapalli.

The injured were admitted to government hospitals at Perambalur and Vriddachalam.
