2 killed, 7 hurt in explosion

Ujjain, Feb 3 (UNI) Two persons, including a four-year-old girl, were killed and seven others injured as gelatine sticks stored in a room for deepening of a well exploded at Jharda village in Ujjain district last night.

Police said Devi Singh (20) and the girl were killed on the spot. The injured were being treated at the government hospital here.

Cases under section 304 A of IPC and the Explosives Act have been registered against contractor Omprakash Kumawat and his brother Prem Narayan Kumawat, who were absconding.
