US delegation to attend Aero India 2007
Washington, Feb 2 (UNI) The US-India Business Council (USIBC) will participate in the Aero India 2007 to be held from February 4 to 11.
The mission, led by former US Defence Secretary William Cohen and former US ambassador to India Thomas R Pickering, seeks to consolidate the momentum of the recent US-India strategic partnership to showcase American excellence in technology superiority, reliability and long-term partnership, says a USIBC press release.
It says Aero India provides an excellent platform for US aerospace companies to build alliances, find partners and share cutting edge technology with India. This is the first time in history that the US Government has approved such a large fleet of aircraft for static flying display in a major show.
USIBC Chairman's Circle Members Boeing and Lockheed Martin are represented by senior executives on the mission and have planned chalets to entertain their customers and dignitaries.
Boeing will show case F/A-18F, C-17 transport aircraft and Chinook heavy-lift chopper, while Lockheed Martin will showcase F-16, c-130 and P-3c.
