Police arrest agitating SVU workers

Tirupati, Feb 2 (UNI) The police arrested about 60 temporary employees of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) while staging a road roko on the Tirupati-Chittoor Road here today.

The agitators shouted slogans against the SVU administration demanding filling up of vacancies, fixing work schedules and implementation of EPF.

Traffic was affected for more than an hour, police said.

UNI
