Nepal forms talks team to settle Terai unrest

Kathmandu, Feb 2: Nepal Government today formed a three-member ministerial committee to hold talks with the agitating Madheshi community to solve the Terai unrest.

The committee was formed under the chairmanship of Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Mahantha Thakur.

The other members of the committee are Minister for Local Development Rajendra Pandey and Minister of State for Water Resources Gyanendra Karki.

People in the Terai region are demanding more autonomy.
