NCC cadets call on Governor

Bangalore, Feb 2 (UNI) The 105-strong contingent of the NCC Directorate of Karnataka and Goa, which returned from Delhi after participating in the recently-concluded Republic Day parade, met Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi at the Raj Bhavan here today.

The contingent apprised the Governor of the laurels achieved by the contingent, including winning the first position in the tableau competition. While Senior Under Oficer Manisha Sharma bagged the bronze medal in the All India Best Senior Wing Cadet competition, the Junior Cadets won the overall championship in the Drill Competition. The Directorate team was adjudged runner up in Flag Area and National Integration Awareness Presentation competitions and was placed third in Senior Division Drill and Line Area competitions.
