Minimum drops at 9.5 degrees C in Delhi
New Delhi, Feb 2 (UNI) Delhi witnessed a sharp fall of three degrees in the temperature as the minimum was recorded at 9.5 degrees celsius, under the influence of cold north-westerly winds.
The Met department forecast that temperatures in Delhi will drop over the next few days, indicating a return of the winter chill towards the weekend.
''The night temperatures over Northwest India are likely to become near normal during the next 48 hours as a fall of 2-3 Degree C is expected,''the weathermen said.
Delhiites woke up to a slightly chilly morning, with shallow fog over the skyline.
Yesterday the minimum was at 12.7 Degree C, nearly four degrees above normal. While On Tuesday the minimum was recorded at a high of 14.3 degree Celsius, on Wednesday it was 11.3 degree C.
The weather office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with slight mist in the morning hours.
The maximum yesterday remained 26.1 Degree C.
