Marg Constructions Q3 net zooms by 373 pc

New Delhi, Feb 2: Marg Constructions Ltd, a infrastructure development company, today posted a whopping 373 per cent year-on-year jump in its net profit at Rs 11.40 crore for the third quarter ended December 2006.

For the nine month period of the current fiscal, the net profit was Rs 24.43 crore as against Rs 4 crore during the same period last year.

The company registered a turnover of Rs 44 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006, an increase of over 313 per cent compared to the similar period last fiscal.

The income for the nine month period stood at Rs 100 crore as against an income of Rs 32 crore for the fiscal 2005-06, up by over 213 per cent.

''At the end of third quarter of the current fiscal, we have increased our land bank to 1,400 acres in South India. We pursue a unique business model, which enables us to offer enhanced value addition in all our business verticals,'' company's Managing Director G R K Reddy said.
