Cold regains vigour in UP
Lucknow, Feb 2 (UNI) After a brief lull, cold returned in Uttar Pradesh with early morning and late night fog disrupting road and railway traffic to quite an extent.
Noraml life was thrown out of gear, especially in western UP due to sudden fall in temperature. The sun remained shy during major part of the day in the region.
According to railways sources here, the schedule of several long distance trains was badly affected.
The meteorological office said the night temperature fell considerably in Agra, Varanasi, Faizabad, Allahabad and Lucknow in the last 24 hours.
Agra remained the coldest place and recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius -- 2 degrees below normal.
Sultanpur recorded 9 degrees, Varanasi and Lucknow 10 degrees each, Gorakhpur 11, while Bareilly and Jhansi recorded 13 degrees Celsius each.
In the next 24 hrs, the weather is likely to remain dry with fog marking the dusk and dawn hours.
