BJP, RSS must go together: Singh

Ranchi, Feb 2 (UNI) Jharkhand BJP's new president Pashupati Nath Singh today said the party must follow the RSS for its ''survival'' and echoed national president Rajnath Singh on the Ram Janmabhoomi issue.

''We cannot march forward sans the support of RSS and we have to go along with them'', Mr Singh said during his brief speech at a function held on the occasion of his taking charge from outgoing president Yadunath Pandey.

''We are not in power. Our members' strength reduced at the Centre'', he said adding, ''We cannot afford to undermine the Ram Janmabhoomi issue either....''. Mr Singh also brought home the point that the BJP which had been in power in the state also fell prey to the Opposition's conspiracy.

''I have a tough job of not only consolidating the party's strength in the state but also preparations must be on as elections are not far away whether it be gram panchayat or Nagar Palika polls,'' he said.
