Wipro gets Dale Carnegie Global leadership award

Bangalore, Feb 1: Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Ltd, today received the prestigious Dale Carnegie Global Leadership Award for 2007.

The award was presented to Wipro by Dale Carnegie Training Chairman Peter Handel here.

Wipro was the first Indian organisation to receive the award, whose previous winners included Boeing, WalMart, Daimler Chrysler and SAS Scandinavian Airlines.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Handel said ''in Wipro, we recognise those qualities that separate the truly great companies, commitment to providing excellent service and quality products to their customers''.

Dale Carnegie Training recognised and honoured the way Wipro Chairman Azim Premji and his team have been able to create a unified culture, he said, adding that Wipro had been able to create a sense of teamwork and at the same time have continued to successfully implement their aggressive business strategies.
