Wanbury's net profit up by 42.6 per cent in Q3

Mumbai, Feb 1 (UNI) Wanbury Limited, one of the manufacturers of Metformin, a diabetes management product, has seen its net profit for the quarter ended December 31, climb 42.6 per cent year-on-year, to Rs 3.58 crore as against Rs 2.52 crore last year.

The Total Income rose to 40.8 per cent year-on-year to Rs 37.88 crore from Rs 26.91 crore, a company release here today said.

For the nine month period, company's PAT climbed 22.5 per cent to Rs 10.51 crore from Rs 8.58 crore over the corresponding period last year. Total Income for the same period grew 41.1 per cent to Rs 102.27 crore from Rs 72.51 crore.

A wholly owned subsidiary Wanbury Holdings BV has acquired 90 per cent of the equity shares of Spain-based Cantabria Pharma during the quarter, making it a subsidiary of the company.
