UP directed to release adequate water in Ganga

Allahabad, Feb 1 (UNI) Allahabad High Court today once again directed the Uttar Pradesh government to continue releasing adequate water in Ganga.

UP advocate general S M A Kazmi assured the judges that adequate water will be released in the river.

A bench comprising Justices B S Chauhan and Ashok Bhushan passed this order after hearing A K Gupta for the petitioner and the advocates for ther respondents.

The court will hear this case on Feburary 14, 2007.

The order passed earlier by the HC concerning pollution in Ganga will continue.
