TVSE reports improved revenue in Q3
Bangalore, Feb 1 (UNI) TVS Electronics Limited today reported a revenue of Rs 76.59 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal as against its earnings of Rs 73.55 crore during the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
The company reported a Profit Before Tax of Rs 2.01 crore during the period, compared to Rs 1.02 crore earned during the quarter ending December 31, 2005.
A company release here said TVS-E consolidated its leadership position in Dot Matrix Printers in the quarter, with an estimated market share of 38 per cent. The company had launched Pro Series range of Dot Matrix Printers for the retail and SME segment and the market had received it well. During the period, the company had also launched built-in UNICODE support for nine Indian languages. Major orders won during the quarter include Bank of Baroda, LIC, UP eSuvidha project and the Goa Government.
The keyboard business had also delivered a growth of over 100 per cent in volume as it shipped over 200,000 units during the quarter.
The company's introduction of new multimedia and optical mouse combo keyboards and aggressive channel expansion had contributed to this growth, the release said.
