TCS tops among 10 best IT Service Providers

Kolkata, Feb 1: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today announced thait has been awarded the top position in the 10 Best Performing ITServices Providers category this year by Global Services 100.

A company release said here today that the Global Services 100 isan annual compilation of the world's most innovative service providersselected on the basis of a research conducted by Global Services andNeoIT, an outsourcing advisory firm.

The Global Services 100, now in its second year, is a tool for buyers of business and technology services.

Judges from Global Services magazine team up with outsourcingexperts at neoIT, a consulting firm that specialises in servicesglobalisation, to identify and evaluate the leading service providerslocated on four continents.

It said the evaluation is based upon data provided by the serviceproviders and third parties regarding effective operations, serviceofferings, client relationships and human capital.

''Winners are selected in each of 11 categories includingservice-delivery areas such as business process outsourcing, ITservices and customer care.

Winners are also selected in regions such as Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America'' it said.
