Suryakiran to have new indigenous fleet
Jaisalmer, Feb 1 (UNI) Indian Air Force's aerobatic team Suryakiran will acquire a new indigenous fleet in two to three years with IJC 36 hawk trainer planes replacing the present aircraft.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bangalore has built new IJC 36 hawk trainer planes, which will replace the existing aircraft.
Suryakiran pilots have already started training on these new planes which are totally indigenous except for some engine technicalities.
Suryakiran team's commanding-in-chief Wing Commander Sandip Bansal, who is here on a tour, told UNI that the process to change the fleet is already on.
He said the music, which is played during the aerobatics display, is also being changed.
Mr Bansal also informed that the Suryakiran team will perform its daredevil show in 60 new places across the country on the 75th anniversary of Air Force Day.
