Student abducted

Puducherry, Feb 1 (UNI) A Plus One student was allegedly abducted here yesterday.

According to police here, Vasanthakumar (16) son of Industrialist Elango went to school and did not return home in the evening.

Around midnight last night, Elango received a telephone call from Shanmugham of Gorimedu stating that he had abducted his son and taken him to Kovilpatty in Tamil Nadu to get the money Elango owed him.

Elango immediately informed the police which rushed a team to Kovilpatti to secure the release of Vasanthakumar.
