Bangalore, Feb 1 (UNI) Suspended BJP leader G Janardhana Reddy, MLC, who kicked up a political storm in Karnataka by accusing Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy of taking a bribe of Rs 150 crore from the mining lobby, today demanded that the State Government take the services of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as recommended by the U L Bhat Commission, constituted to go into the matter.

Addressing newspersons here, he said the State Government, which had constituted the Commission, had not responded to its suggestion.

He had sought the permission of the Legislative Council Chairman to discuss the lapse of the Government on the issue, he added.

To a question, Mr Reddy, who had declared that he would not cooperate with the Commission holding that it had been constituted to cover up the scandal, said that if the Government responded positively to the Commission's request, he was ready to present all relevant documents and evidences to the Central agency.
