Prof CNR Rao bags 'Desikottama' title

Bangalore, Feb 1 (UNI) National Research Professor and Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research Honorary President and National Research Professor C N R Rao was today awarded the prestigious 'Desikottama' title.

The title was awarded by Vishvabharathi, Shantiniketan in recognition of his monumental contributions to science, according to a release here.

'Desikottama' is a unique honour bestowed on persons of distinction by Vishvabharathi.
