PNB introduces high yield FD interest

Kozhikode, Jan 31 (UNI) The public sector banking major Punjab National Bank today announced 'PNB Maha Bachat,' a scheme, offering high yield interest rate for clientele opting for fixed deposits.

Effective from tomorrow for a period of three months, the new scheme has three options -- 8.5, 8.75 and 9 per cent interest for a period of one, two and three years respectively on a minimum deposit of Rs one lakh, Zonal Manager S P Singh said in a release here.

The scheme also offers an additional 0.25 per cent extra interest to senior citizens as a special case, he added.
