Oppn stages road roko; traffic obstructed in NHs

Hyderabad, Feb 1 (UNI) Traffic was obstructed in the National Highways as the Opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh today resorted to a road blockade demanding the government to withdraw its decision to establish the proposed IIT in Medak district.

The agitators obstructed traffic in NH-7 and NH-16 in Nizamabad, Adilabad and Medak districts.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) and Left parties participated in the road roko demanding the government to set up the same at Basara in Adilabad, in line with the previous TDP Government's resolution in the Assembly.
