Nine bookies arrested; granted bail
Mumbai, Feb 1 (UNI) Crime Branch sleuths arrested nine cricket bookies last evening at Goregaon east in Suburban Mumbai for alleged betting during the India-West Indies match at Vadodra Twelve cellphones, two laptops, one television, four installed machines were seized during the raid from Hemant Jobanputra, Hazraj Immam Ali, Ramesh Khimaiya, Arun Mehra and Narayan Munda, who have been identified, said police sources.
The nine accused were produced before additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S Y Shishode, and were granted bail for Rs 5,000 each.
