Srinagar, Feb 1 (UNI) Barely a few hours before the arrival of three-member moderate Hurriyat Conference delegation, led by Mirwaiz Omar Farooq returns from Pakistan, unidentified persons lobbed a hand grenade on the amalgam headquarters here last night.

Sources said the unidentified persons lobbed the hand grenade from the main road on the hurriyat headquarter, situated at posh Rajbagh area, at around 2220 hrs.

The grenade exploded in the compound damaging a vehicle parked in side, the sources said.

However, no one was injured in the blast.

Unidentified persons also attacked the house of Mirwaiz Omar Farooq at Nigeen with rifle grenades on January 15 in which damage was caused to some window panes.

However, the grenades fired from some unidentified destination, missed the intended target and exploded in the kitchen garden of the nighbouring house, about 100 feet away from the Mirwaiz's house.

The outer compound wall of the neighbouring house was also damaged in the blast.

The three member Hurriyat delegation comprising, the Mirwaiz Omar Farooq, Prof Abdul Gani Bhat and Bilal Gani Lone will return here today after a fortnight visit to Pakistan.

The moderate amalgam leaders during their visit met twice Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and also Prime Minister Showket Aziz besides opposition and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) leaders.
