Maruti cars become dearer
New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) All Maruti models, except Swift, will cost more by Rs 12,000 from today.
''We have informed all our dealers about the planned price hike to be effective from February 1 across most models, except the new Swift which is being launched with an introductory price,'' Maruti Udyog Ltd's (MUL) Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Jagdish Khattar said.
Hyundai Motor India, Tata Motors and Honda Siel Cars India are already selling their cars at increased prices since the beginning of the year.
Tata Motor increased the price of its sport utility vehicle Safari by Rs 15,000 and the multi-activity vehicle Sumo by Rs 5,000.
Honda Siel Cars India raised the price of its existing City range by Rs 5,200 to Rs 8,400 and the Civic range by about Rs 12,000.
