India, UAE protocol on ADT: Cabinet

New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) The Cabinet today gave its approval for signing a protocol to amend the agreement with the United Arab Emirates for avoidance of double taxation (DTAA) and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes of income.

The protocol would remove ambiguities with regard to the applicability of the agreement, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.

It would also stimulate the flow of investment, technology and personnel from India to the UAE and vice versa, besides providing tax stability and facilitating mutual economic cooperation.
