Girl among two killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 1 (UNI) One person was knocked to death by a speedy vehicle, a girl commited suicide, while the house of a migrant and a factory were gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight.

A police spokesman said a girl Bilqeesa, daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Wani and resident of Batpore Kanihama Magam, consumed some poisonous substance early this morning.

However, she died on way to Sub District Hispital at Magam.

In another incident, a Mini Bus hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Maqbool Malik in the downtown city. The injured was admitted to hospital where he died.

Meanwhile, fire broke out due to short circuit in a house at Kooligam.

Fire also broke out in Simrady Ply-board Private Limited Nipora under the jurisdiction of Police Division Mir Bazar Qazigund causing damage to the driller of factory. No loss of life or injury was reported.

The spokesman said miscreants set ablaze a joint house of a migrant Roop Krishan Sabroo and Sona Devi, wife of Amarnath Sabroo, at Ganderbal late last night.
