Four killed, three injured in Kusner village

Jabalpur, Feb 1 (UNI) Four people, including a woman, were killed on the spot and three others injured this afternoon after a jeep carrying them collided head-on with a tanker.

Police said the accident took place at a crossing on a national highway in Kusner village of this district.

The jeep was here from Gosalpur while the tanker was heading for Katni from this cantonment town, they said.

Three of the deceased were identified as Bhanuprasad Dahiya, Lakshman Rajak and Ambika Rajak.

The injured, Ramswaroop Rajak, Ramdas Bhoomiya and Surendra Sahu were rushed to a hospital. Two of them were stated to be critical, they said.

Meanwhile, the tanker driver, who tried to escape, has been arrested in Gosalpur, the police added.
