Fans burn effigies in temple town

Tirupati, Feb 1 (UNI) In view of the recent differences between Telugu Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Villain-turned-Hero Mohan Babu in a function held recently in connection with 75 years of Telugu cinema in Hyderabad, the fans of both the stars burnt their effigies here today.

Police said in protest against Mohan Babu, hundreds of Chiranjeevi fans assembled in the city and set fire an effigy of Mr Babu and raised slogns against him.

In retaliation, Mr Babu's fans also burnt an effigy of Chiranjeevi at a junction here, police said.

Police arrested four Chiranjeevi fans in this connection.
