Emami Q3 PBT up by 37 per cent
Kolkata, Feb 1 (UNI) Emami Limited, a leading player in Indian Personal and Healthcare Industry, has reported a 29 per cent growth in turnover and 37 per cent increase in profit before tax for the period ended December 31, 2006.
With the turnover and PBT being recorded at Rs 262 crore and Rs 47 crore respectively, the company attributed the quarterly performance to the success of its established brands as well as new launches.
While brands like Navaratna oil and Boroplus Antiseptic Cream dominated the market with 54 per cent and 67 per cent shares respectively, the new launches accounted for 17 per cent of the turnover.
With Emami's International business registering a 40 per cent growth, the new international range of products performed well in all countries, especially SAARC, Africa and Europe, the company said.
