AP Governor slips on stage at Kalam's meeting

Hyderabad, Feb 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur slipped and fell on the stage on which President APJ Abdul Kalam was participating in a programme of dedication of Laboratory for Conservation of Endangered Species (LaCoNES) to the nation here today.

The Governor slipped when he was getting down a step after delivering his speech.

Security personnel lifted him up. However, the Governor was not injured.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Union minister of state for Environment and Forests N N Meena and Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) Director Lalji Singh were also seated on the stage.
