Another BSF jawan commits suicide

Jammu, Feb 1 (UNI) A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan today committed suicide at Abdulian in R S Pura near here in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Aika Bahadur Thapa, a jawan in the 129 BSF Bn, shot himself with a colleague's rifle at Abdulian in R S Pura, about seven km from the International Border, SSP Border Rajinder Gupta told UNI.

''At about 0700 hrs, when a routine BSF patrol reached the post and put down their weapons to have tea, Bahadur suddenly appeared... took a weapon and shot himself dead,'' he said.

''Investigations are on to ascertain the facts,'' the SSP said.
