ACC quarter 4 net doubles to Rs 358 crore

Mumbai, Feb 1: Associated Cement Company Ltd (ACC) has posted a net profit of Rs 358.46 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, where as the same was at Rs 173.45 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005, an increase of 106.66 per cent.

The company said its total income (net of excise) is Rs 1677.94 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, where as the same was at Rs 1100.51 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

It has posted a net profit after provision for taxation&exceptional items of Rs 1231.84 crore for the year ended December 31, 2006, whereas the same was at Rs 709.70 crore for the year ended December 31, 2005.

Total Income (net of excise) is Rs 5934.96 crore for the year ended December 31, 2006, whereas the same was at Rs 4445.68 crore for the year ended December 31, 2005.

Meanwhile, the Board of Directors of the Company has recommended payment of dividend at the rate of Rs 15 per share.
