37 per cent voting registered till 1400 hrs at Pune
Pune, Feb 1 (UNI) Barring a few incidents of minor clashes, voting was peaceful in Pune with 37 per cent polling average registered till 1400 hrs.
A ladies ward No 29 identified as 'sensitive' has registered the highest turnout of 50 per cent voters this afternoon, informed polling officer Dynandev Thube here.
Thube said voting began at 0730 hrs amid tight security and the voting was peaceful in the city. However, a minor incident of clash between two groups outside the polling centre at Dehu was reported where police brought the situation under control immediately. In city's outskirts, people appeared enthusiastic to cast their vote.
Incidents

the
city's
industrial
belt
of
Pimpri-Chinchwad.
People
were
protesting
the
administration's
failure
to
install
cameras
in
wards
declared
'sensitive',
however,
the
situation
is
under
control,
