3 naxalites killed in encounter

Jagdalpur, Feb 1 (UNI) Police has claimed to have shot dead three naxalites, including two women, in encounters in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh yesterday.

The naxalites killed were yet to be identified, police said, adding two rifles, a tiffin bomb and explosives were recovered from the spot, police said.

The women naxalites were killed in Annaram forest under Madded police station limits, while a male naxalite was killed at Arhanghat area under Kirandul police station limit, Bijapur Superintendent of Police Ratanlal Dangi said.

Meanwhile, naxalites attacked the National Mineral Development Corporation's magazine at Hirouli area, In the prolonged exchange of fire, nobody was injured.
