1.3 MT non-levy sugar for Feb

New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) The Government today decided to release 1.3 million tonnes of non-levy sugar for this month.

It has already released 174,000 tonnes of levy sugar for distribution through the public distribution system.

Thus, the total sugar released for February is 1.47 million tonnes.

The non-levy sugar released is required to be sold within the month, and any unsold quantity at the end of the month would be converted into levy sugar, an official release here said.
